Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly
Is one of the newly created assemblies and districts in Ghana. It was together with five other assemblies inaugurated by the Government of Ghana. The assembly was inaugurated on Tuesday February 9th, 2019. The Assembly has its office located on the Royal Castle road, Kokomlemle.
Functions and Responsibilities
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Municipal Assembly’s economic policies, through the provision of policy advice to the Spending Officer
Co-ordinate the formulation
And preparation of the Assembly’s medium-term and annual Budgets and assist the Spending Officer prepare the Economic and Financial Statement of the Assembly
HISTORY OF THE ASSEMBLY
Ayawaso Central is one of the newly created assemblies carved out of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly. It was until febraury 19, 2019 a sub metro of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly. It has since being part of the 260 MMDAs in Ghana and also part of the 29 MMDAS in the Greater Accra Region.
